The Tales of Robin Hood
The region's most popular tourist attraction, The Tales of Robin Hood, is situated in the heart of vibrant, historical
Nottingham just a two minute walk from the castle. It is a great day out for the family where visitors can experience
medieval life, legend and adventure. Flee through the forest to escape the evil Sheriff and jump on the magical travel
back in time ride to join in the quest. Enjoy Medieval Banquet and Murder Mystery nights in the evening too.
Open every day from 10am to 5pm and admission costs £6.95 for adults and £4.95 for children.
Nottingham Castle
Visit Nottingham Castle, first built in 1068 by William the Conqueror on a narrow sandstone ridge. The castle is closely
associated with the legend of Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham. Explore the beautiful castle gardens and flower
displays; the historical museum, guard room and dungeon and enjoy stunning views of Nottinghamshire from the museum roof.
Castle is now open 10 - 4pm daily and admission is free on weekdays and £2.00 adults, £1.00 children/concession on weekends
and Bank Hols.
Caves of Nottingham
Beneath the city centre of Nottingham from the soft Sherwood Sandstone, hundreds of caves were dug out many years ago. In
the last 750 years more than 400 caves were cut out. They were used as storerooms, factories, pub cellars (Ye olde Trip to
Jerusalem), dwelling houses or air raid shelters and are open today for tours around the various caves.
The Caves are open Mon-Sat 10-17, Sun 11-17. Admission costs Adults £4, Children £3, Students £3, Seniors £3.
