A major recruitment plan has begun by Jet2 as it aims to increase numbers of cabin crew, pilots and engineering staff.
A recruitment roadshow will be held at the Jurys Inn Hotel (next to the airport) on September 7th from 10am-6pm. The big news follows the launch of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’s largest ever flight and holiday scheme for the summer of 2017 from the East Midlands Airport. 80 new jobs are the product of the East Midlands Airport scheme to try and increase staff numbers.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: "Our family-friendly formula is clearly working with customers and it means that we’re one of the UK’s fastest growing airlines.”
"We have exciting plans to expand the number of destinations we fly to, as well as the number of UK bases we fly from, and this means that our team is growing all the time too.”
"If you’re a pilot, engineer or aspiring cabin crew, and want to join the team of the UK’s favourite airline, then we’d be delighted to see you at our East Midlands Airport roadshow."
Jet2 are looking to invest into the next stages of its development plans after recently providing an 8th UK base in Birmingham and purchasing 30 new B737-800 aircrafts beginning in September for a 2 year period.
The extra number of aircrafts means that Jet2 can also expand its travel destinations. New travel locations include Costa Brava, Naples, Split and Paris – taking the number of hotspots to 32.
